Hailing from the city of Visakhapatnam in India, Against Evil is an Old school heavy metal band that formed in 2014. Influenced by bands like Judas Priest, Accept, Iron Maiden and Megadeth, Against evil's journey has been an inspiration in the Indian metal scene. A perfect blend of traditional heavy metal, with elements like thrash metal, speed metal and power metal, Against evil is best described as an adrenaline inducing, bone crushing, fist bumping Heavy Metal Band.
Against Evil entered the metal scene in 2015 with an EP titled "Fatal Assault' released via Transcending Obscurity Records. The album received critical acclaim from top metal journalists, magazines all over the world who praised the band for their solid, catchy song writing and top-quality production.
In 2018, Against Evil released their first full-length album "All Hail the King" which once gain received high praise from critics and metalheads worldwide. With standout tracks such as "Stand Up and Fight!", "Sentenced to Death" and the title track, the band gained a solid fan base in Europe which led to the signing with European record label Doc Gator Records. One of the highlights of this album is a guest guitar solo by Jeff Loomis (Nevermore, Arch Enemy, Conquering Dystopia) on the song "Sentenced to Death"
In May 2021, Against Evil released their highly anticipated album "End of the Line". The album once again proved that the band is relentless when it comes to delivering catchy, anthemic, high quality heavy metal without any filler, surpassing all the expectations of fans and critics and further increasing and solidifying their fan base. The new album also has a guest feature from legendary rock/metal bass guitarist "Billy Sheehan" (Mr. Big, UFO, David Lee Roth, The Winery Dogs, Sons of Apollo) on the song "Out for Blood".
After performing at almost every major metal venue in India and sharing stages with many popular Indian acts as well as supporting Jeff Loomis on his tour of India, Against Evil started getting a lot of requests from their fans to tour Europe. Together with Doc Gator Records and with the help of the Facebook group "Heavy Metal Fans", they put together the "Sentenced to Death European Tour". The record label and Facebook group have also raised money through a crowd funding campaign to help the band with touring expenses.
The band performed a total of 18 shows in 4 countries (Germany, Belgium, Austria, and Switzerland) during August-September 2019 which includes both club shows and open-air festivals such as Turock Open Air (Germany), Innrock Reloaded (Austria), Rocknacht Tennwil (Switzerland) and many others. During the tour, the band has shared the stage with legendary acts such as Queensryche, Riot V, Hardline, and many others. 2023 will be a big year for Against Evil as they are looking forward to returning to Europe for the first time since the pandemic. The anticipation among fans is huge and the band promises to deliver killer live performances once again featuring songs from their successful new album.
